I was born and raised a little north of Houston, TX and I still reside here now. I am a woman of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I was raised on football (Go Texans!), hunting, fishing, and raising our own food where and when possible. I picked-up my first hobby last year (2016) of kayaking; it is so very rejuvenating for me.
I love spending time cuddling with my dog.
I spend my “free time” reading and listening to all things health, nutrition, fitness, and cooking. I blog part-time on whatever strikes me at the time. I only recommend books, podcasts, and products that I personally use and trust.
I spend the majority of my time working a corporate job, getting in a couple of workouts, and trying to keep up with my husband.
Looking back over my life, I’ve been not in optimal health for most of it. There have been a few time spans where I have been healthy, but mostly not. Hindsight is 20/20….
In all honesty, I think that all of my health issues started with and stemmed from poor gut health. Whoever said that “Death Begins in the Colon” was 100% correct! If you do not have good gut health you cannot have good brain health or endocrine health – both of which are the master controls for the body. I would say if you are managing any illness of any kind – gut health is the place to start.
